Coulda swore it was posted here but can't find it now.

It was a feeder for little chicks made out of a milk jug. Pretty sure it had holes in the sides.
Anyway I saw it, forgot to favorite it and now I can't find it again.

Does this sound familiar to any of you?  If so can you tell me what post its in?

LOL Thanks

I looked around but can't find it either. Did it have holes around the bottom?

I didn't find it either. Maybe place the hole low toward the bottom, but big enough they can not climb into. Also would leave top open loosely for ventilation.

Yes it did have holes around the bottom and it seems like it was without a tray underneath. Which tells me it probably only gets filled UP TO the holes opposed to filling as a gravity feeder.

If it said what size bit was used to make the holes I really don't remember. What worried me was making them too large and having the chicks end up climbing inside and getting stuck.

The large bit in the garage will make a hole that is about 1" in diameter. Do you think thats too big? Its only been since March that we had day olds but I cant remember just how small they were.

I would think maybe a half inch hole, but I would put something like a cardboard box under it because they will pull it out.
